POSTE 1

Regional Reintegration Assistant

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  • Draft, update and share key documents and tools to facilitate the provision of reintegration in the region and the sharing of good practices
  • Review reintegration plans and supporting documents to verify compliance with internal guidelines and donor rules for reintegration cases assisted through regionally managed budget lines/projects
  • Support the regional reintegration officer and information management unit to ensure accurate recording of activities in the data management system, by liaising and following-up with country offices as needed, reviewing data against financial records to ensure accuracy, and updating relevant colleagues regarding needed actions whenever is required
  • Monitor the use of some regionally managed budget lines, verify availability of funds and update budget related information
  • Retrieve, compile, and analyze project data to support monitoring of project progress and regularly update monitoring tools
  • Organize capacity-building activities (in person or online) and support the preparation of training materials for key stakeholders in the region
  • Prepare and update reports, briefing documents and presentations as needed
  • Respond to information requests and inquiries on reintegration and set up and maintain folders related to the implementation of reintegration on SharePoint
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.

Expérience and Skills

  • Experience in the implementation and monitoring of project, including budget and progress monitoring
  • Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and good knowledge of spreadsheet and data management and analysis
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives
  • Ability to meet deadline while maintaining accuracy and paying attention to details
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural skills with proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a team of colleagues

Languages

  • Fluency in English and French is required.
  • Working knowledge of a local language a distinct advantage.

POSTE 2

Project Development Consultant

Deliverables

  • First deliverable – First report presenting concrete public and private funding opportunities, including submission considerations and timeline, due by end of month 1. This will be generated as a result of regular meetings with IOM, research and networking – Deliverable by end of month 1
  • Second deliverable – Second report presenting updated concrete public and private funding opportunities since the first report, including submission considerations and timeline, due by end of month 3. This will be generated as a result of regular meetings with IOM, research and networking – First instalment payment for deliverables 1 and 2 – Deliverable by end of month 3
  • Third deliverable – Development of ten (10) project Concept Notes (including budgets) during months 2-5. These will be determined based on decision by IOM on identified opportunities and guided by IOM in the design and template. Multiple rounds of review and editing will be required. – Second instalment payment for deliverable 3 – Deliverable completed by end of month 5
  • Fourth deliverable – Final report presenting updated concrete public and private funding opportunities since the second report, including submission considerations and timeline, due by end of month 6. This will be generated as a result of regular meetings with IOM, research and networking – Deliverable by end of month 6
  • Fifth deliverable – Development of five (5) project proposals and budgets. These will be determined based on decision by IOM on identified opportunities and guided by IOM in the design. Multiple rounds of review and editing will be required. Deliverable by end of month 6
  • Sixth deliverable – Report summarizing guidance and lessons learned for IOM seeking funding for awareness raising work in West and Central Africa – Third (final) instalment payment for deliverables 4, 5 and 6 – Deliverable by end of month 6

Performance indicators for the evaluation of results

Submission of six deliverables in a timely manner and at a standard approved by IOM.

Education, Experience and/or skills required

  • Master’s degree in communication, fundraising, donor engagement, international development or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience working with international organizations.
  • Five (5) years of experience in donor liaison, fundraising and project development.
  • Experience in the private sector, particularly in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility is an asset.
  • Excellent of the donor landscape in West and Central Africa.
  • Good understanding of migration in West and Central Africa.
  • Good understanding of the field of awareness raising, and of Communication for Development (C4D) methodologies.
  • Prior experience with IOM an asset.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.

Language

Fluency in English is required. Intermediate capacity in French.
