Job Responsibilities

The Funding and Investor Relations Manager reports to the Group CFO and works in close collaboration with other members of the senior management team. She/he is responsible for ensuring the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with all investors. Specific tasks include funding strategy, relationship management with funding partners and supporting funding activities across the group

Funding

  • Continue the development of the funding strategy for the group, and support its implementation with all group companies;
  • Source and negotiate funding for the holding company;
  • Support the liquidity risk management of the holding company
  • Support subsidiaries in funding questions;
  • Support the financial risk management of the group (funding risk, liquidity risk, fx risk, interest rate risk), including the continuous development of the financial risk management framework;
  • Develop a group counterparty risk management framework;
  • Participate in Group ALCO and Group Risk Committees

Investor Relations

  • Be the primary contact, develop and maintain professional and long-term relationships with all investors (debt & equity) and counterparty banks;
  • Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework for the group and the subsidiaries;
  • Prepare Corporate & Financial documentation for all investors in close cooperation with the reporting unit

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with an asset manager, banking or a related field;
  • Master’s degree or MBA with a major in finance;
  • Good understanding of the role of the financial sector in emerging markets with a specific focus on the African continent;
  • Good understanding of treasury and risk management in the financial industry, including an overview of international best practice of relevant regulation
  • A track record of successful cross-functional leadership and relationship building;
  • You will have a prior experience working in a multi-national environment working with colleagues of different cultures;
  • You have a highly collaborative management style;
  • You will have excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
  • You are bilingual in English and French.
