- Education/training (1): University degree (master’s degree or diploma) in agricultural economics, agricultural trade, economics, business administration/trade or comparable subject;
- Languages (2): Knowledge of written and spoken English C1 Level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- General professional experience (3): 10 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector;
- Specific professional experience (4): 10 years of professional experience in the field of rural development and value chain promotion including strong expertise in the areas of broad-based promotion of agricultural value chains and capacity development (HCD, organisational development, cooperation/networking);
- Leadership/management experience (5): 10 years of management/leadership experience as project team leader or manager in a company;
- Regional experience (6): 10 years of work experience in West Africa (region), of which 3 years in Nigeria (country).
