Il est difficile de croire qu’aujourd’hui 771 millions de personnes n’ont pas d’eau potable et 1,7 milliard ne disposent pas de toilettes décentes, soit environ 1 personne sur 5 dans le monde. Toutes les deux minutes, un enfant de moins de cinq ans meurt de maladies diarrhéiques causées par le manque d’eau et d’assainissement.
WaterAid Ghana recherche un directeur de pays (CD) qui assurera la direction du programme national (CP) et contribuera à la direction régionale et mondiale de WaterAid. Le CD orientera l’équipe de direction et le programme pays, et influencera les institutions publiques et privées sur l’impact positif de l’eau potable, de l’assainissement amélioré et de l’hygiène sur les plus pauvres et les plus exclus, contribuant ainsi à la réduction de la pauvreté et au développement humain.
Type de contrat : 4 ans à durée déterminée, renouvelable.

To be successful, you’ll need:
- Master’s Degree or professional qualification in a relevant subject area
- Proven experience of leading a Country Programme/Office in an International Development setting
- Senior management experience in an international development organisation
- Experience of working in Ghana and West Africa
- Strategic leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, preferably in water and sanitation sector.
In addition:
- Experience of developing key strategic and operational partnerships with national level NGOs and government authorities for programme, policy and advocacy interventions.
- Experience of raising funds from government and/or international agencies (bilateral/multilateral), managing large budgets with diverse international donor base.
- Leading on engagement with national governments, bilateral and multi-lateral agencies on policy influencing.
- Significant experience of community-based water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion projects
- Good understanding of the linkages between programme and advocacy
