Role Purpose

The Regional Coordinator is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all corporate services in the designated region and is responsible for effectively coordinating all assigned employee activities, cascading information, and managing the distribution of supplies to staff within that geographical location. The Role-holder acts a cross functional SPOC in their respective region dealing with all employees and relevant external stakeholders.

Role Accountability

HR Coordination
•    Locally lead with all HR initiatives
•    Serves as a liaison between employees in the regions and the HR team in HQ
•    Receive and channel feedback appropriately from employees and other stakeholders in the respective geographical location.
•    Organise and drive all programs on employee engagement and culture locally.
Support To Drive Revenue
•    Build synergies with the Commercial functions within the business to drive revenue.
•    Implement cost reduction strategies to reduce waste and ensure adherence to approved business standards and practices throughout all regional activities.
•    Function as an ambassador of VFGH in their respective region to drive our RMS
Efficient Management of Fleet and Property
• Partner with the regional Property and Fleet managers to provide quick and speedy response to staff needs with respect to property and fleet related issues as per the respective SLA’s.
• Promptly escalate issues to the Heads of Property and Fleet (HQ) for further attention as required
Customer Experience and Brand
•    Improve customer experience and brand image in the regions by ensuring up-to-date product knowledge to staff, protecting the interest of customers by collaborating with the regional NCA and internal staff with more emphasis on retail and fixed services to address customer complaints /requests speedily among other things.
Corporate Image Enhancement
•    Ensure a warm reception for all visitors to the Region. Coordinate visits to the Regions and to respective Government authorities and other stakeholders and provide support and information as required. Refer local requests to the appropriate person/team in Vodafone Headquarters.
Legal Support in the Region.
•    Ensures the effective coordination of legal support for respective regions in liaison with the legal department in HQ.

•    Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience through the creation of solutions and relevant interventions.
Supports engagement across the Region- Regional Index and Engagement
•    Arranges visits by SMT and other visiting team members.
•    Takes notes of issues and follows through on outstanding local issues.
•    Coordinate quarterly regional SMT talk time and other regional events, provide SMT sponsors the opportunity to engage with external stakeholders and ensure smooth flow of information from HQ to regional staff.
Knowledge and Experience
•    Must have a good knowledge of the area and its traditions.
•    Must have influence with the regional executive bodies all in the vein of promoting and protecting the VF brand.
Communication
Cascading communications throughout the Region
•    Ensures the appropriate cascading of all relevant communication throughout the regions or to the targeted audience within the regions.
•    Organises regular regional updates (at least once per month).
•    Prints communications and displays on notice boards, as required

Technical and Professional Competencies

    A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university
    Ability to compose reports
    Excellent written and oral skills
    Good organisational skills
    Well-connected in the regions
    Passionate about people
