The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Membership & Organisational Development Coordinator in London or any existing Save the Children International office location.

Role Purpose:

This role supports the Membership and Organisational Director and team to ensure people, processes and systems in place work optimally. It is a hands-on role supporting the work of the team, e.g. planning and coordination of work streams, efforts to share knowledge and strengthen engagement and participation of leaders across the Save the Children movement.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • EssentialStrong written and oral communication skills, fluent in English
  • Strong planning/anticipation skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating work, outlining key activities, tracking actions and timelines
  • Experience planning and organising meetings and events, virtual and/or in person
  • Ability to manage knowledge and information, including how to capture, organise and share it. organisation, analysis and visualisation of data and information
  • Experience in coordination of meetings and events and international travel arrangements
  • Proficiency and confidence using Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Teams and Sharepoint.
  • Sound judgement and ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to adopt a pro-active approach to problem solving working closely with senior colleagues as required and offering solutions as appropriate.
  • Proven ability to work effectively at a senior level, gaining trust and confidence with stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • The ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels, across different cultures and to act with credibility, discretion, tact and diplomacy.
  • Thorough – takes pride in delivering high quality work and gives a high level of attention to detail.
  • Self- motivated and ability to work autonomously
  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Save the Children.

Desirable

  • Data analysis skills, ability to use Power BI,
  • Data and information visualisation, incl in Power point
  • Fluency in other languages – e.g. Spanish, Arabic

We can offer circa £28,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in the UK or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
