Job Description & Summary

PwC Sub-Saharan Francophone Africa (PwC SSFA) is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Risk & Quality (R&Q) team, whose main responsibility will be to participate in all R&Q projects implemented during the year under the supervision of the Territory Risk Management Partner (TRMP).

The PwC SSFA Risk & Quality team has an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Quality Senior Manager/Director. This role will offer variety and challenge, and will be an opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of R&Q. As an integral part of the PwC SSFA Risk & Quality team, you will be liaising directly with both R&Q and firm leadership.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Annual update of the quality management system for excellence (QMSE) processes and controls for compliance with ISQC 1;
  • Development and delivery of risk management training;
  • Participation in R&Q meetings, including preparation of material for discussion;
  • Responsibility for assisting and responding to enquiries and consultations from the firm’s assurance, tax & legal, and advisory practices;
  • Assisting with the coordination of internal quality reviews;
  • Assisting with regular and annual R&Q compliance monitoring, activities and reporting;
  • Maintenance and update of risk management, assurance methodology policies, templates and guidance; and
  • Opportunities to be involved in inspection support, regional R&Q activities, and firm risk assessment and strategic development.

Profile Requirements

  • Good knowledge of the specificities of internal audit and Risk Management policies;

Qualification and experience

  • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management;
  • CA, CPA, ACA or ACCA designation plus minimum of 7+ years post-qualification experience;
  • Proven success at Senior Manager/Director level within a Big 4 Firm role for at least 10 years of experience  will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum French and English Language requirements;

Essential Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project manager skills, attention to detail and willingness to gain an excellent knowledge of PwC policy and methodology;
  • Ability to manage a cross-border team of 8-10 people and navigate cultural distinctions within the region;
  • Track record of training and communication plan development & implementation.

Other:

  • Must be able to work legally in any of the PwC SSFA countries (Cameroon,  Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, and Senegal)
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
