Mission
Responsible to enable organizations and employees capabilities through :
- Driving the design of clear organizational development strategy integrated with overall business plans for increased organizational effectiveness ;
- Leading implementation of performance & talent managements strategic plans aligned with MTN Group guidelines ;
- Conducting the design of training and development strategy as well as the processes and policies that will ensure the alignment with business plans and talent retention strategies.
Responsablités opérationnelles
Learning and Development
- Act as the custodian for organizations learning and development budget (planning; implementation and management)
- Develop strategy and plans for staff learning and development in line with organizational objectives
- Ensure implementation of strategies (and systems) to assess pre, during and post training effectiveness
- Liaise with other function/departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects of staff training needs and ensure that they are fully informed of training and development plans and objectives
- Lead planning and overall delivery of the MTN academy training programmes
- Provide infrastructure for managing competency gap analysis and development within the business
- Develop competency based functional schools of excellence for learning management
- Manage the deployment of MTN CI competency model as it relates to learning
- Facilitate the design of learning solutions tailored to the business needs in order to raise capabilities and improve business productivity
- Oversee the identification and scheduling of required training for all divisions in the organization
- Ensure maintenance of individual development records
- Establish and maintain training related communication and reports with internal and external customers
- Manage MTN CI internal training school and corporate induction delivery
- Ensure a robust evaluation process is established within each operational business area in order to ensure effective training and development
Organization Development
- Drive the organizational structures changes, aligned with company strategy, challenges faced and objectives
- Lead the design of organizational structure creation/change rules
- Support the definition of company capabilities (competence; culture and performance) through the provision of strategically aligned organizational design
- Ensure proper job design, analysis and evaluation as per MTN methodologies
- Ensure that all organizational design databases are kept up to date and relevant to the business
- Ensure that uniformity of policy application and the centralization of decision making is implemented
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the policy governance framework for human resource policies
- Ensure that the performance management process is integrated and well understood by all MTN employees
- Ensure that transparency of the performance management processes is well communicated to and understood by all MTN employees
- Ensure that the key performance metrics align with the strategic goals of the business
- Oversee the alignment of performance programs for key talent and other key human resource strategies and policies
- Oversee the development of effective recognition programmes that will motivate employees
- Oversee the development of effective recognition programmes that will reward employees; teams and organizational units whose performance exceeds expectations
- Act as the talent custodian for MTN group leadership talent management programme
- Develop and drive MTN CI strategy for identifying; attracting; developing and retaining talent to achieve a high-performance organization
- Provide an effective leadership development and succession management system that will ensure the business develops the right calibre of talent to meet its short-, medium- and long-term objectives
- Oversee the design, development and implementation of cost-effective talent acquisition tools
- Ensure effective succession management and critical skill pool management to align talent supply and demand within MTN CI
- Develop and implement career pathing structures to allow for job satisfaction and progression
- Monitor the planning; development and implementation of human resource strategy for learning and knowledge management within MTN CI
- Review and constantly improve processes and procedures to support the management of the learning and development functions, including performance and talent management functions of the company
- Ensure a robust evaluation process is established within each operational business area in order to ensure effective learning and development, and evaluation of the impact on the staff effectiveness.
Diplome
- Minimum BAC+4/5 in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Law, Business Management or equivalent
- Fluent in English and language of country
Expérience Professionnelle
- At least 7-8 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in managing team in a relevant sector/ industry
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
Connaissance
- Good comprehension of Telecommunication industry and company strategy
- Very detailed knowledge of MTN HR policies and procedures (advanced)
