As Account Manager, you will manage and coordinate activities related to assigned account(s) by ensuring that orders from customers are clear, well understood and executed as per agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement), will also be responsible for identifying issues proactively, building strong relationships with customers and proposing solutions which will benefit both Maersk and the customer.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, including the inbound, outbound and delivery operations, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders.
- Proactively track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from planning and/or SLA, propose potential solutions or alternatives.
- Understanding of external factors impacting Customer’s supply Chain & their sense of urgency, service needs, drivers, and desires.
- Aligning with customer expectations upfront and be able to respond with suggested solutions
- Improve the resources and assets utilization through an overall and coordinated planning of operations with customers/vendors and execution team.
- Handle complaints from customers and find acceptable solutions both for Maersk and the customers
- Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction across Maersk product offering (own customers).
- In general, actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders
- Monitor progress, on time delivery and quality of execution in line with customers’ requirements.
- Consolidate periodic reports on key indicators that will allow to monitor the team’s performance vs the agreed SLA
- Execute cost saving plans in line with procurement logic to deliver a consistently deflationary cost profile while maintaining excellent standards of safety and reliability, including efficient planning and triangulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in international Trade, Logistics, Supply chain Management.
- Have at least 2 years of proven work experience.
