The Recruiter will focus on our global hiring and will have their own portfolio of positions to conduct full life cycle recruiting. Responsibilities will include all sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. All work will be accomplished in a spirit of partnership and service with the hiring manager. We are looking for someone who understands and practices industry standards and a person who is always looking for new and creative ways to recruit as well. Our goal is to ensure the timely selection of top talent, who will support IRC’s organizational culture, while contributing to the organization position as an employer of choice.
From generating a talent pipeline and rosters to maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, you own the entire recruitment process. By using your knowledge of our programs’ hiring needs and search requirements, you optimally match candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful. In this role, you will have a global outreach and the opportunity to recruit in 40+ countries and across various regions (MENA, Asia, West Africa, East Africa, Great Lakes and LATAM).
Major Responsibilities:
• Recruit highly qualified talent and achieve a consistently fast paced time to fill
• Lead recruiting-related initiatives to support the Strategy100 and IRC Gender & DEI strategy while maintaining compliance to local labor regulations and donor requirements
• Find a diverse set of potential candidates who meet the qualifications/requirements of the positions within agreed timeline.
• Build relationships with country programs and when needed support their country level recruitment or capacity building efforts
• Provide an efficient and high-quality experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, including robust reference checks, salary recommendations and closing of candidates.
• Gain a deep understanding of IRC’s programs and operations, in order to provide outstanding talent sourcing, recruiting, and hiring in support of, and partnership with, hiring managers
• Travel up to 15% annually, as necessary
Staff Management and Development:
• Mentor, train, and be a resource to HR staff with the aim of growing use of data tools (ATS, reference check tool, JD writing tool), exchanging knowledge and concerns between the Global Recruiting team and country recruiting teams, and providing professional development mentorship.
• Offer leadership support for successful adherence by staff to IRC’s Global HR policies.
Job Requirements:
Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree is a plus
Work Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of senior level recruitment experience
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, and in French required. Proficiency in either Arabic or Spanish would be a plus.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, and experience recruiting across multiple regions and countries simultaneously
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards and social media tools and strategies to source and attract talent
• Demonstrated experience and ability to create, implement, maintain and improve recruitment strategies and systems in a fast pace context
• Demonstrated success in building professional relationships with key senior management and global partners
• Excellent project management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a proven ability to provide excellent client service in a cross-cultural context
• Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units required
