Le Fonds mondial pour les survivant.es (« GSF ») a été lancé en octobre 2019 par le Dr Denis Mukwege et Nadia Murad, lauréats du prix Nobel de la paix 2018. Sa mission est d’améliorer l’accès aux réparations pour les survivant.es de violences sexuelles liées aux conflits dans le monde entier, répondant ainsi à une lacune identifiée depuis longtemps par les survivant.es. GSF agit pour fournir des mesures de réparations provisoires dans des situations où les États ou d’autres parties ne peuvent ou ne veulent pas assumer leurs responsabilités. GSF plaide pour que les responsables ainsi que la communauté internationale développent des programmes de réparation. Il guide également les Etats et la société civile en fournissant une expertise et un soutien technique pour la conception de programmes de réparation. L’approche centrée sur les survivant.es est la pierre angulaire du travail de GSF.

Role Summary

The overall role of the Senior Project Officer is to capture through toolkits and other such publications, good practice and lessons learnt about GSF Interim Reparative Measures (IRM) and its co-creation methodology, and to organise events, such as inauguration of collective reparation measures, survivors exchanges, and draft policy reports. The SPO will also support the strategic planning, the coordination, and the development of national projects for interim reparative measures worldwide, as required by the Head of Interim Reparative Measures.
The Senior Project Officer will work in close collaboration with the team involved in the projects for interim reparative measures, within the GSF Direction of Programmes, under the responsibility of the Head of Projects for Interim Reparative Measures.

Position Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of GSF projects for interim reparative measures, including the overseeing of projects for interim reparative measures;
• Design and develop tools for interim reparative measures projects;
• Coordinate the organisation of communities of practices exchanges between projects;
• Coordinate the drafting of partnership agreements for IRM projects,
• Coordinate the due diligence process including the analysis of due diligence documentation in liaison with the Operations Department which has overall responsibility for due diligence processes;
• Design and deliver trainings to support the development and implementation of projects;
• Draft thematic and country reports related to interim reparative measures projects, including internal reporting;
• Coordinate, organise and participate in visits and events in project countries, including organisation of logistics;
• Support in the design of external communication tools, liaising with the Communications Unit;
• Participate and report on strategic and projects activities.

Salaire

Education and Experience
• A law, sociology, philosophy, communications or international relations degree or similar degree in a related discipline and a postgraduate degree in international human rights law or any related equivalent studies that show knowledge of the subject matter (reparations and/or survivors of conflict-related sexual violence);
• At least 5 to 7 years professional experience working on human rights, and in particular conflict-related sexual violence, the right to reparation, and transitional justice, having developed toolkits, and other such publications.

Other Requirements
• Experience working with national civil society organizations and survivors of conflict- related sexual violence, and strong knowledge of the survivor-centric approach, in line with existing good practice and guiding principles;
• Strong Experience in programme management;
• Experience working in at least one of the countries where GSF is currently implementing projects would be an asset;
• Excellent research, drafting and editing skills in English;
• English is the working language of the Global Survivors Fund. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Good knowledge of written and spoken French is essential.
• Professional demeanour and excellent verbal communication skills;
• Robust planning and organization skills, strong sense of initiative, ability to identify priorities and adjust plans and actions as necessary, and work with autonomy;
• Attention to detail and rigour;
• Ability to work independently, including from distance and under tight deadlines;
• Ability to work as part of a team and to bring and maintain a strong team spirit;
• Excellent reporting activity to supervisors;
• Strong work ethics, eagerness to learn and willingness to take initiative;
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
